Signal-loss calculator
This calculator estimates how many conversions client-side-only tracking, meaning a browser pixel on its own, fails to report to Meta, Google and TikTok each month, and what that costs you in misleading CPA and blindly optimized budget. Enter your monthly ad spend, reported CPA and iOS/Safari traffic share. Every result is a range derived from stated assumptions, not a measurement.
Conversions that likely happened but never reached the ad platforms.
Budget whose conversions the algorithm never saw. It cannot optimize toward what it cannot see.
What you may actually pay per conversion once the missing ones are counted.
Assumptions: client-side pixels are assumed to miss 20-40% of conversions on iOS/Safari traffic (ITP, ATT, 7-day cookie caps) and 5-15% elsewhere (ad blockers, strict browsers, consent gaps). These are assumptions for estimation, not measurements. Your real numbers depend on your audience and setup.
How the estimate is built, and why it is a range
The model rests on two assumptions: client-side pixels are assumed to miss 20-40% of conversions on iOS/Safari traffic (Safari’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention, App Tracking Transparency, 7-day cookie caps) and 5-15% on the rest of your traffic (ad blockers, stricter browsers, consent gaps). Your iOS/Safari share weights those two intervals.
The arithmetic is simple and reversible: reported conversions are spend ÷ reported CPA. If the pixel only sees a share (1 − loss) of what actually happened, the unreported remainder is reported × loss ÷ (1 − loss). The estimated real CPA is the reported CPA × (1 − loss), and “spend optimized blind” is the share of budget whose conversions the platform never saw.
We show ranges rather than point estimates because a single number would be false precision: actual loss depends on your audience, region, device mix and consent setup, and published industry figures vary widely.
These are assumptions for estimation, not measurements. The only way to know your real number is to measure it: capture events first-party, deliver them server-side with deduplication, and compare against what the pixel reported on its own.
